Havurah’s Memoir Writing class presents: “An Evening of Memories,” Friday, December 16th at 7:00 pm
December 5, 2011
On December 16, join us for a special Friday night service, which will include the 3rd annual reading by the participants of the “Memoir Writing from a Jewish Perspective” workshop.
The class has been working for the past eight weeks under the direction of Rob Freedman to develop their personal stories, reflective of a wide range of the American Jewish experience. You will hear tales of family dilemmas, stories of survival, of love and loss. You will hear stories that may remind you of your own. This is, after all, a communal experience.
Readers will include: Heidi Bader, Jenni Besen, Nathan Cogan, Rob Freedman, Andrine de la Rocha, Howard Patterson, Scott Snyder, Fufkin Vollmeyer, and Sabina Wohlfeiler.
Please note that there will be an early starting time for services at 7 pm which will be led by Rabbi Joey, with the reading and oneg to follow.
