Come Hear Susannah Sirkin, Deputy Director of Physicians for Human Rights, on Thursday night, August 2nd, at 7:00. It’s a Havurah event at the home of Havurah members, open to the first 25 who get in touch with the office to RSVP. We’re lucky to welcome this powerful human rights leader, who is the sister of our own Sam Sirkin and aunt of Zoe Sirkin, that week’s bat mitzvah!
Susannah has been with PHR since shortly after its founding in 1987; she has organized health and human rights investigations to dozens of countries and been expert editor and author for many of PHR’s reports and papers. She currently is heading up PHR’s work against sexual violence and rape as weapons of war and has just returned from Eastern Congo.
Don’t miss her! She was great the last time she spoke at Havurah, but RSVP to the office and we will give you location details and directions!
