Dues and Tuition

Our community thrives through the active participation of our members.  One of our shared responsibilities is funding our programs, our building, and other community endeavors. We avoid extravagance, budget carefully, and do many things for ourselves to keep costs down.  Still, there are costs.   We fund most of these costs with dues because we don’t require that new members pay into a building fund, we don’t use our precious member and staff energy on constant fundraising, and we don’t have any significant endowment.

We know that not every member can afford these dues.  In addition, we recognize that, for many households, dues are a key consideration in choosing when and where to affiliate.   We do not want our dues structure to be a barrier to cultivating a vibrant, inclusive, diverse and sustainable Jewish community.

The culture of Havurah is to be flexible and creative when confronting a challenge.  To welcome members of all income levels, our dues structure includes a self-adjustment option.

Please contact Karen Westerman to discuss dues.
