Chris Coughlin

Chris Coughlin joined the Havurah community in January, 2006 as the Community Organizer. Her primary role is to develop ways in which members can all be connected and actively working to support Havurah’s efforts in the community.  Havurah’s mission includes providing a vibrant, diverse, inclusive, participatory, and sustainable Jewish community and Chris works to fulfill the mission by helping current members find the right fit at Havurah whether they want to help set up for the Purim Carnival, organize High Holiday childcare, lead the Community seder or develop a new program.

Chris also helps coordinate life cycle events, including working with the Havurah Cemetery committee.

Chris’s volunteer and professional background has been in non-profit administration and political organizing, especially on educational and revenue issues. She has over 20 years of experience in running political campaigns and has served as the Executive Director of several progressive political non-profits including the Coalition for School Funding Now and Our Oregon. Chris lives in Beaverton with her husband and three children.
