Mario Castellar
Mario Castellar started working at Havurah in June of 2008 as the Administrative Coordinator. His main duties are daily building operations, administrative duties including the Hakol and community email, and being the first point of contact at the office. He makes sure that everything is being taken care of behind the scenes and enjoys working with members in the community including the Building Committee, Membership Committee and office volunteers.
Prior to moving to Portland, Mario worked for a non-profit in New York City that provided access to nutrition programs for working people, immigrants, and low income families. He provided community outreach as well as coordinated trainings with other community based organizations on anti-hunger campaigns. Mario lives in Northwest Portland with his partner and their fox terrier and wirehaired dachsund.
