Dorot
Dorot is a community building project. The purpose of our Dorot groups is to give members an opportunity to explore how they can more actively participate in and feel more connected to the Havurah community
Our first Dorot group was comprised of about 20 (10 couples) thirty-somethings. We had an initial introductory meeting, followed by topical meetings one time per month. We concluded the program with an overnight retreat at Camp Collins on the Sandy River. All the participants felt the program was very successful, in that we were able to increase participation at Havurah and the participants bonded as a group, developing friendships and taking on Havurah projects together or individually since the Dorot program concluded.
After taking a year off from the program, we decided to start another group. The demographics of this group are different: forty – fifty-somethings, and not just couples.
Watch the community e-mail, Hakol and this website for future groups.
