Job Summary
Havurah Shalom is a vibrant, diverse, participatory Jewish community of 350 families, steeped in Jewish values, promoting spirituality, learning and acts of social responsibility.
We are seeking a part time (20 hours a week) Administrative Director. Primary duties include working as a staff liaison to the steering and finance committees and working closely with Havurah’s Rabbi, Educator and office staff. Management responsibilities include day-to-day operation of the congregation, including hiring and managing direct staff reports, overseeing personnel policies, building-related activities, financial management, e-mail marketing, technical infrastructure and content managed website. The Administrative Director participates in appropriate community initiatives and activities, organizes and maintains internal and external publicity and advertising. This position also oversees communications, and Havurah’s cemetery policies and procedures. Operation Reconnect Launched

Many thanks to so many of you who attended Friday night services, as well as other meetings over the weekend with Rabbi Mordechai Liebling. We came together as a community to begin our work to move Havurah Shalom forward through Operation Reconnect. Friday night, we heard from Rabbi Liebling about the various stages of congregations and where Havurah fits in that cycle.
A cornerstone of Operation Reconnect will be one-on-one conversations between members lasting about 30-40 minutes. Members who will be taking a lead on getting these conversations scheduled had the opportunity to meet with Rabbi Liebling this weekend for training.
When you get a call or email over the next couple of weeks from a member asking to connect, please make some time in your schedule to participate in this short, but meaningful conversation. We aren’t going to be able to reach every member but we will do our best to reach as many of you as possible.
