We’ve turned the corner into spring (well, a wet, cold Portland spring as usual) and the Chai Ho! Havurah auction is on its way. Remember to mark your calendars to attend this great event on Sunday, April 10, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Food (vegetarian with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), fun, schmoozing, music, and great items to bid on will fill our congregation space into the evening with a silent auction, followed by a live auction. Remember, this event is not appropriate for children under 12 years of age.

May 15, 9:30 am – 3:00 pm, Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste (Oregon’s largest Latino organization, representing 4500. farmworkers, nursery and reforestation workers)
Woodburn; help build a leadership development center; lunch provided, minimum age 14; sign up by April 25 (6-22 participants) Woodburn is only 35 minutes from Portland; we’ll organize car-pooling.

Jenn Louis, chef and co-owner of Lincoln Restaurant and a James Beard nominee, has offered to donate 10% of all sales for March 27 to Havurah. So, invite some friends and have dinner out that night. In addition, the menu for that evening will have plenty of vegetarian and fish entries.
