Havurah Library
Mission Statement:
The Havurah Shalom Library will offer a variety of resources to support the entire congregation in its pursuit of learning and enrichment in the following ways:
1.) Support for staff and students of established classes (Shabbat School, B’nai Mitzvah instruction, High School, and continuing education)
2.) Support in the creation of new classes
3.) Support of informal study of Jewish knowledge, practice, and heritage
4.) Exposure to current issues, thinking, and literature in Judaism
Policies:
1.) Only Havurah Shalom members may check out books
2.) Only 3 books may be checked out at a time and for only one month
3.) A one-time renewal may be arranged by calling the Library chairperson for an ok
4.) Please follow the checkout procedure that is posted in the library
5.) No food or drink is allowed in the library
6.) Please do not use the library for childcare.
Donations: The Havurah Shalom library committee requests that only monetary donations are made. This gives us the flexibility to purchase the books needed. Please do not drop off books.
Computer Use: The Havurah Shalom library collection is on the computer. Judaic software and Internet access are available. Instructions to use the computer are posted in the library.
