Lift Urban Portland Food Barrel
DON’T FORGET OREGON’S HUNGRY!
There are a lot of hungry people out there in our own community, folks!
The food barrel has recently been emptied and has plenty of room for
your generous donations. Please bring nutritious, non-perishable items
every time you come to Havurah Shalom, whether for minyan, Shabbat
school, holiday celebrations, etc. There are so many hungry folks in
our state and this is an easy way to help them.
The following Oregon Food Bank list covers the most needed kinds of foods:
- canned meats (i.e., tuna, chicken, salmon)
- canned and boxed meals (i.e., soup, chili, stew, macaroni and cheese)
- peanut butter
- canned or dried beans and peas (i.e., black, pinto, lentils)
- pasta, rice, cereal
- canned fruits
- 100 percent fruit juice (canned, plastic or boxed)
Make it a habit to bring something every time you come to Havurah.
